The CV is only one side.
Verso interviews every applicant by voice or text and asks about what the CV can’t show: what they actually did, how deep it goes, and what drives them. You get a ranked shortlist where every score links to what the candidate said.

- 02Every applicant gets interviewed
A 15–20 minute voice or text conversation, in Romanian or English, that digs two or three levels into the claims on their own CV.

What the CV says, and what the interview found.
Verso reads each CV against your rubric, picks the claims worth probing and the gaps worth asking about, then follows up until the answer is specific.
“Led the migration of payments to event streaming.”
What broke first, and what did you do about it?
She owned the outage, built the idempotency layer herself and presented the postmortem to the CTO.

Walk me through the last production incident you handled.
DevOps handled the clusters. He had never debugged one himself. Strong on application code, thin on infrastructure.
“Customer support specialist, 2 years.”
Tell me about a process you changed.

A conversation, not a test.
Every applicant gets heard, not just the ones with the best-formatted CV. The interview asks about their own experience, in their language, whenever suits them.
- About 15–20 minutes, by voice or text
- Romanian or English, the candidate chooses
- No account: a private link to start, resume and follow the application
- Told up front that it’s an AI, and that a person decides
The first thing that broke was ordering. Two refunds arrived before the charge…
Done answeringThe AI recommends. People decide.
Hiring is a high-stakes decision, and EU law treats AI in recruiting as high-risk. Verso is built so that you can see, check and overrule everything it suggests.
Each criterion is scored from what the candidate said, with the quote attached. You can always check the AI’s reasoning against the transcript.
Every applicant for a role is interviewed and scored against the same criteria and weights, written with you before the first interview.
Things like leaving the tab or pasting text are shown to you as context. They never lower a score automatically.
Verso never rejects anyone. Candidates are told they’re talking to an AI, and can ask for a human review.

What does the candidate experience look like?
They apply from your careers page with a PDF CV, then start the interview right away or later from a private link. It feels like a short call: the interviewer asks, they answer out loud, and it follows up on what they say. Text chat is always available instead of voice.
Which languages are supported?
Interviews run in Romanian or English; the candidate chooses. The recruiter view is in English today, with Romanian coming.
Is audio recorded?
No. Answers are transcribed by the candidate’s browser and only the transcript is kept.
Can candidates cheat with ChatGPT?
The interviewer follows up on each answer and digs into specifics from the candidate’s own CV, which is hard to fake live. Behaviour like long pauses, leaving the tab or pasting is shown to you as context, so you can judge it yourself.
